When baby “Lachlan Lever” was born, he was diagnosed with a moderate to severe hearing loss in both ears. While after seven weeks later, Lachlan was treated by doctors to have his first hearing aids so that he could hear the world for the first time.
When his first hearing aid was successfully fitted to his ear, The parents softly greeted him with pleasantries, like “Hello Gorgeous”, Unexpectedly, Lachlan – from squirming and crying he eventually started to smile.
"He's smiling, he's smiling," Michelle Lever said as she begins to cry and get emotional.
The video was uploaded on August 31, 2014 while the moment really happened back in July 2012, and is making rounds online.
By the time of this publication the YouTube video has already garnered a total of 4,238,251 views and 15,179 likes, which is considered to be viral.
The seven-week-old Lachlan is now two years old and is currently working with therapists at Taralye “The Oral Language Centre for Deaf Children” in Blackburn Victoria.
Based on Daily Mail Australia report, Michelle Lever hopes the video by going viral, will reassure parents in similar situations, “I want them to realise that there is a lot of support and help available to them.”
