The Philippine Telecommunications war heats up with a vigorous competition from Globe on bringing back ‘Free Facebook’ across its over 38 million subscribers available, just some hours after SMART Prepaid unveils “Free Mobile Internet” offer on Friday by the PLDT Group Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan (MVP) at the Makati Shangri-La.

Globe announced the good news via its Facebook page to bring back ‘Free Facebook’ and will be available starting next week.
Globe also claimed to pioneer the “Free Facebook” offer thing in the Philippines which was launched in October 2013, which has allowed its 36 million subscribers to access the world’s most anticipated Social Networking Site “Facebook” with no data charges.

Meanwhile, through an Instagram post, As the answer to Globe’s claim to be the pioneer of the offer, Smart revealed on Friday that they’re the ones who setted the said offer first, or the actual pioneers of giving the Free Facebook offer across in the Philippines.

Based to Globe Telecom Communications Senior Vice President Ma. Yolanda ‘Yoly’ Crisanto analysis, she said that the “Smart Free Internet” offer is “Too Small” for its subscribers for the 30MB limit and is excluded to stream videos and isn’t available to access messaging apps like wechat, skype,viber etc.
Smart’s Chief Wireless Advisor Orlando B. Vea clarified the matter on Smart’s ‘too small’ free internet offer, is targeted to subscribers without heavy data usage.
Yet, Smart also releases a guide to the 30MB limit per day for transparency.
On the average, a subscriber with 30MB can enjoy ALL of the following services: 20 social media posts with photo, 50 web pages loads, 20 plain emails and 15 minutes of music streaming
