Malacañang has declared a three special non-working days in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Jan. 15, 16 and 19, 2015 due to Pope Francis' visit.
The declaration of the holidays was issued by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, Jr. through Proclamation No. 936, on Monday, that three of the five days that Pope Francis will be in Manila as special non-working days in NCR.
The Pope is scheduled to arrive in Manila on Thursday, January 15, at the Villamor Airbase.
The President is set to lead the welcome ceremony for the Pope on the on January 16, Friday. Pope Francis will also be holding a Mass at the Manila Cathedral and meet families at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Pope Francis is also expected to meet typhoon victims in Leyte.
After a new day, the Pope will meet the religious leaders at the University of Sto. Tomas and will hold another Holy Mass at the Rizal Park. He will then leave the Country on January 19.
