The #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge is hoping for a plethora of men and women’s attention just like the #AlsIceBucketChallenge did last year promoting awareness.
Over the past few days, the campaign called "Hold A Coke With Your Boobs Challenge" has been encouraging women to place a bottle or can of coke between their breasts to raise awareness to the breast cancer survivors and patients.
The rule is to stick a bottle or can of coke between your boobs then take a selfie before putting it online with the hashtag #HoldACokeWithYourBoobsChallenge.
The trend is a whole lot a next level campaign where it spreads like wildfire thinking that it may do help raise money for charitable causes which no one actually realize it was fake. However, it has still helped raising an awareness from the criticisms it received.
As the craze started to grow and sweeping the globe, an Adult entertainment talent scout, Danny Frost alongside with Gemma Jaxx, admitted on Instagram that they were the one started it.
Frost wrote on his Instagram account, "I'm Danny Frost. Gemma Jaxx and I are the creators of the #Holdacokewithyourboobschallenge. Any page on instagram or twitter saying they are holdacokewithyourboobschallenge is fake. We only have a fan page on Facebook."
Danny Frost also said that the campaign started as a joke.
"We started the challenge as a joke. We were making fun of all these other challenges,"
"We never thought it would take off, but it did. People started posting that it was for a breast cancer awareness charity, and we thought why not do something good with this, so we went with it."
But after getting its initiative to the BCRF, it was denied where the BCRF will not be associated with the challenge.
Thank you for your note to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Your
initiative is in no way aligned with the BCRF mission, the patients who
are suffering from this insidious disease, the survivors of breast cancer
who live daily with the fear of a breast cancer reoccurrence, the memories
of those who lost their lives to breast cancer and the families who have
been devastated by a breast cancer diagnosis. BCRF will not be associated
with this challenge as we have publicly stated and will continue to
respond the numerous press and consumer inquiries with this position.
Further, BCRF will not be accepting any donations that may be generated
from this program. There are many ways to legitimately and authentically
support breast cancer awareness and research, none of which involve
holding a Coke between a woman¹s breasts.
Please remove any association with BCRF from your challenge immediately.
