Yet, despite the fact that there are other profitable and more accessible markets out on the globe, Tan explained that money isn’t everything to them so as the company, which decided to open its new flagship store in the Philippines because they wanted to give value to a community that is known for its passion of gaming.

I believe it’s no longer a secret that the Razer fans in Philippines came together to vote it as the destination for our next Razerstore when we ran the poll.
However, I’ve been getting a lot of messages like “Why bother with PH? You’ll make more money if you set up a store in [XYZ]!”
I’m sure we’d make more money if we set up the next Razerstore in some countries other than Philippines – but that’s not what we’re about. Money isn’t everything to us – the community means a lot more to us. The community, the fans – means a lot to me.
So it’s not about how much money we can make or how much we can sell etc – it’s about the community, it’s about our fans, it’s about our love for gaming and the gamers around us. And that’s why the next flagship store is going to be in the Philippines, even when it doesn’t make financial sense for us – because it makes perfect sense for our fans there.
For Gamers. By Gamers.
PS: We’ll run another poll after our next RazerStore opens and see where our community wants us to open next! So you’ll know what to do when we run the next poll!
Tan also mentioned that after the RazerStore opens in the country, they will again run another poll for the next deserving location of their concept stores.
The Razer Concept Store will open this July at SM North Edsa.
