FAMAS Awards 2015 Official List of Nominees Announced

MANILA, Philippines – The most popular award-giving bodies in the Philippine Cinema, Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) has officially revealed the final list of nominees for the FAMAS 2015 awards.

Known as the most respected award-giving bodies in the country, FAMAS is now on its 63rd year of comprising veteran writers and showbiz columnists who have earned their reputation and authority in the showbiz industry.
The theme for this year’s celebration is “Throw Back Glam Day – A look Back at Six Glorious Decades of Philippine Cinema.”

FAMAS will also name the “Iconic Movie Queens of the Philippine Cinema,” with Gloria Romero, Nora Aunor, Dawn Zulueta, Susan Roses, Maricel Soriano and Sarah Geronimo.

Actor Coco Martin will also receive the Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award after he plays the role of the iconic actor’s remake of the movie “Ang Probinsyano.”

The 63rd FAMAS Awards Night will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on September 20, 2015.
